Introducing | Skott – Porcelain

Scandinavia’s ever-burgeoning music scene just got even better with the arrival of newcomer Skott. Already she’s one of the most talked-about artists on the internet, and we’ve only been aware of her for a day. Having grown up in a forest commune with outcast folk musicians, you would be forgiven for assuming her music would take on a quite predictable fragile singer-songwriter sound. The fragility can be found, not least in the song’s title, ‘Porcelain’, but it is surrounded by music that boasts confidence. Her voice is complemented by the beats that drive the track, swelling to something altogether brilliant. Skott continues Chess Club’s enviable record of releasing some of the best new music in the last few years, and she’s one to watch over the coming months.
